The Central Illinois Land Bank Authority is selling two vacant lots in Catlin – a friendly, active community between Champaign-Urbana and Danville. The lots at 107-109 Prairie Street, which are zoned for multifamily residential, have a combined total of 13,000 square feet. Situated in the Salt Fork School District, access to water and sewer is available. The following is a legal description of the lots: “Lots 4 & 5 in Block 1 of Thomas A. Taylor’s Addition to Catlin”.
These two lots will be sold together and the minimum bid will start at $6,000. To ensure the land bank obtain the best pricing available, CILBA will allow applicants to increase their “best offer” price over the course of a 30 day marketing period which begins April 23, 2021, and concludes May 24, 2021. The lots will be sold through Quit Claim Deed by CILBA. All of CILBA’s land sales are subject to approval of the local member community, which is Catlin in this case, and its Board. CILBA will strive to have the final sale approved quickly by the Village of Catlin and CILBA’s Executive Board.
